Dr. Virtue Omere is a compassionate and dedicated pediatric dentist who completed her residency at the NYU Langone Pediatric Dentistry program in Massachusetts. Originally from Nigeria, she has always been passionate about improving access to oral healthcare for underserved populations. Dr. Omere earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from one of Nigeria’s top-ranked dental schools before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Howard University College of Dentistry in the United States, where she refined her expertise and deepened her commitment to excellence in dentistry.
Dr. Omere is a strong advocate for pediatric oral health, demonstrating her dedication through both clinical practice and policy advocacy. Her commitment to this cause was evident during her participation in the AAPD Advocacy Conference in Washington, D.C., where she engaged with congressional offices to prioritize pediatric oral health on the national agenda. She lobbied passionately for policies that address oral health disparities and improve access to high-quality dental care for all children, regardless of their background.
Driven by her mission to eliminate oral health disparities, Dr. Omere tirelessly works to raise awareness of the critical importance of early oral health care in children. She consistently seeks innovative ways to make a positive impact in her community and beyond, ensuring every child has the opportunity to achieve a healthy, confident smile. Her dedication to this cause shines through in every aspect of her work, both inside and outside the clinic.
Outside the office, Dr. Omere finds joy in traveling, meeting new people, and immersing herself in different cultures. In her downtime, she enjoys unwinding with a good movie, cherishing moments with her family, and embracing peaceful, quiet mornings that allow her to reflect and recharge. Dr. Omere is also deeply committed to giving back, actively volunteering at her local church and within her community, where she strives to make a positive impact and serve those in need.
